Export Packing for Fiber Optic Cable Orders: What Buyers Should Check

Cable drums should match the order

Before shipment, buyers should confirm drum length, cable model, fiber count and marking. A clear drum label helps the warehouse, distributor or contractor identify the cable during delivery.

Packing protects the cable during transport

Wooden drum packing is commonly used for outdoor fiber optic cable, ADSS cable and armored cable. The packing should protect the cable during handling, container loading and long-distance transport.

Photos are useful before shipment

Packing photos, drum photos and loading photos allow the buyer to check whether the goods are ready and whether the marking is correct. This is especially useful when the buyer is not visiting the factory.

Plan accessories together

For FTTH and telecom projects, cable is often shipped with clamps, boxes, closures, splitters or connectors. Checking the material list before loading reduces missing items after arrival.

What buyers should send

Send destination country, port, order quantity, drum length, packing requirement and any special marking. If the order is for a project, send the material list together so the supplier can arrange packing by item.
